Aaron Greenberg, head of marketing for Xbox, has announced the release of Sea of Thieves has been delayed until early 2017. The company originally hoped to launch the game this year for Xbox One and PC.
The executive announced the new launch window in a recent interview, where he also mentioned that Xbox will focus on the output of Gears of War 4 in October, and then give priority to “things like Halo Wars 2 in February.”
” Sea of Thieves come in the window next to Scalebound and many other titles. For next year, this will be the largest lineup of games that we had , ” said the executive.
On the other hand, Microsoft said in a press release that Sea of Thieves ” will offer an experience that will evolve over time, which will reach the hands of the early players and change over time based on the response of the players.”
