Toshihiro Nagoshi sees future in free-to-play games for the 3DS
In an interview with the Japanese magazine Famitsu, SEGA creative director Toshihiro Nagoshi said that with the release this winter in Japan from free-to-play for Nintendo 3DS, Initial D: Perfect Shift Online , the company will consider develop more titles for this type of console.
“We have no intention of stopping with this game and after seeing the results, we will think what to do next. Yet unlike titles for smartphones, think there is a perfect way to do things for the Nintendo 3DS. Think search will be our challenge and in many ways, Initial D will be our first step, “Nagoshi said.
Creative also explained that, for a free-to-play to be successful, must be on a platform with a large installed base and added that the 3DS system is the second (after smartphones) more popular in Japan, so be interesting to see what happens with a variety of proposals for this free hardware.
